Wedding dress shopping....

Yesterday my three older sisters, my mom, my two sister in laws and my little neice went shopping for my sister's wedding dress. Yes, I was doing a little pouting since I was the only one who couldn't make it. I guess that's what you get when you live clear across the country. Anyway, she found one and I hear it is beautiful. I am so pleased for her.

My cute sister Dawn is one of the best people I know. She is continually trying to do what is right and I seriously don't know anyone who does a better job at it. But, at the same time, she enjoys life and has an awesome sense of humor! She definitely inspires me to be a better person.

Dawn has watched each one of her five siblings get married, and have families and it has been her greatest desire. I am so happy for her and can't wait for her wedding in
August. I also can't wait to be back with my cute siblings, and siblings in-laws.

It is SO hard to live far away when things like this come up! I feel for you Brenda!! My sister in law just sent me videos of she and my sister going to the Hogal Zoo with their kids and I had those pangs of sadness that I wasn't there with them... Big congrats to your sister tho, that's great!!

I am so excited for Dawn. I hope that she comes to the reunion with her fiance so that we can all meet him. It must be hard to miss things like this. I'm sure that they all missed you.

Just to let you know, we really did miss you and we talked about you. And...if it makes you feel any better, Bekah didn't understand what was so fun about a girls day out.....SHOPPING! She thought it was going to be so fun and was very disappointed when all we did was walk around dress shops. To say the least, she was bored until she got to eat a really good meal. We love you lots Bren!

OH how cute are your sisters!!! I don't know what it would be like to live away from family, but I can imaige it'd have to be hard. You just have to make the best of it, and blogging about them makes it seem like you're a little closer. I'm sure it'll be a lovely wedding! Wish you were there too!

Ah, it must be so fun to have so many sisters! Even though you are far away, it still sounds like you are such a part of their lives. Just think of the fun you'll have shopping one day with all your beautiful daughters!

Yeah for Dawn!! She really is one of the best people I know. She genuinly(is that right?) cares about everyone around her. I am so happy for her, and how sad for you not to be able to play with the girls!

Shay's B-day, Maple syrup, and Cryosurgery

This last week has been a little crazy for our family. Most of us have been sick (except Brian, Shay, and I) so it's been fun battling fevers and antibiotics, but also trying to do field trips, volunteering at school, doctors appointments, science projects, birthdays, basketball, ballet, iceskating etc. Whew!! I'm glad it's over. Although today is a catch up day on Tera and Shay's science projects, so I will let you know if we survive or not. Okay, a little recap on some of the things we did this last week. *I went on a really fun field trip with Ashtyn and her preschool. We went to Brookside Nature Center to see the Maple tree farm they have. I have to tell you, it was one of my favorite field trips I have ever been on. We got to see the sap from the Maple trees come out and into the buckets and we got to taste the real maple syrup. It was so yummy. It's going to be hard to go back to the fake stuff... Club Feet

Brynley was born with club feet. She had to have casts on both legs up to her thighs for eight weeks. She had new casts put on every week and a half to two weeks. During this time she had surgery on her tendons so they will grow longer. She finally graduated to braces that she had to wear night and day for six weeks. Now, she is out of her braces during the day and just wears them at night until she is four or five years. Phew! It's been a long process, but we are just grateful that this is the only problem she has had to deal with. So, here are some pictures of her casts and braces, thought you might enjoy! Baby Girl Number 4

Yes, this is our fourth girl! I know, the profile isn't great, but I guess that's just about what you can get when you're still in the womb (: . I had to ask again to make sure she was really a girl, and yes she definitely is. Wednesday was my second ultrasound. The doctor wanted to make sure that she wasn't too big, considering that each of my girls have been a pound bigger (Tera 7 pounds 2 ounces, Shay 8 pounds 3 ounces, and Ashtyn 9 pounds 2 ounces). I didn't know this but I guess Ashtyn got her shoulder stuck coming out. That can be quite dangerous and could cause brain damage. I was a little nervous to find out how much this one would weigh, because the bigger the baby, the more likely there would be another shoulder caught in the birth canal. Well, it turns out right now that she weighs (or so they say) about 7 pounds 13 ounces. Which isn't too small considering I have two more weeks to go, but isn't enough for a c-section.
