School

I am finally getting around to writing about school. Yes, it has been two weeks since they have started, but better late than never right? So, it's been off to a good start. Shaylee got the best teacher in the 1st grade, Mrs. Scruggs (formerly Ms. McHargue). Tera had her for math and we love her! We were so excited. Teralyn's teacher in third grade is Ms. Pietryka. She has only taught for about two years, but she is young and excited, and I think she'll be great.

The first day turned out just fine. I was a little nervous because things were going so well in the morning and then about half hour before we left, Shay started to get a little sick (the nerves hit in). Last year was a huge dilemma and we barely made it to kindergarten. I thought for sure she was over that, but apparently not. Anyway, at least we didn't have crying this year, just a little upset stomach and when we started walking, it went away (there is something about that walking I tell you!).

They both came back happy, tired but happy and content and we considered that a success. The last two weeks have been about the same. No major complaints yet, but also not a huge excitement. Oh well, what do I expect for school right?

So now, Ashtyn is bored out her mind and I think I have had enough with Polly Pockets,
so we are making charts and counting down to preschool. Just seven days left! Woohoo!

Sophie had Ms. McHargue and we liked her! I miss Emmanuel preschool - it really is the cutest school with such great teachers - hope Ashtyn likes her class!

I'm glad the girls are doing well in school. Jaide starts preschool on Monday and is very excited. It's hard to believe that it's barely September and the big kids have been in school for two weeks. And the stores don't have back to school stuff any more, now it's Halloween already!

That has got to be the cutest photo! I just can't believe how grown-up Shaylee looks now. Each girl so beautiful, just like their Mommy!

So glad your girls are enjoying school. I tried to help you with Ashtyn -- but you kept her away too long over the summer that she forgot she loves my family. I'll have to take her to Olive Garden and shopping again so she remembers that she want to be with our family!

Your girls are so precious! Soon Regan will be big enough to play Polly Pockets with Ashtyn too, that will help!
