I need a good book!

Okay, so now that I ended my life with "New Mooon" I need some other sappy book to keep me going! I just finished it this morning (put off reading the last couple chapters as long as I could) and now the wait is on for the next one!

So, what I really need right now are some good suggestions for other good books. Twilight and New Moon totally kept my interest, so anything with vampires in it... just kidding. Really if you have any suggestions, that would be great!

It's probably a good thing that I'm done. I've put off a lot of things and my house is showing it! I watched a little girl yesterday and she commented on how messy my house was. It was then that I put down my book for a minute and cleaned up the kitchen (: Maybe it's best I took a little time off from reading... Maybe not though.

Who needs a clean house?? Reading is way more fun.

I suggest, I Capture the Castle (so you can laugh at how Leah loves to watch that movie with Joni), and also Sorcery and Ceclia or The Enchanted Chocolate Pot (which has a sequel). Those are sufficiently romantic and dramatic and fun but easy enough that the pregnant mind doesn't have to work too hard (not that I think you can't handle the harder stuff . . . ). Just come to my house and I will fill your arms with bucketloads of choices!

I second I Capture the Castle. It's pretty dense but I also really got absorbed by The Historian. And it's got vampires!

Ooh Yeah the Historian and Dracula!! :) I went on a whole vampire kick and read them the same time as Twilight and New Moon. I must admit though they aren't quite as fluffy as Twilight.

If you want incredible FLUFF and non-thinking romantic fun, try First Love and Forever - its an Anita Stansfield LDS romance!! :)

Jill had me read The Persian Pickle Club, a really cute and short novel about a quilting group! It is set in Kansas during the depression. It's a quick, fun read and I loved that it was about women who quilt together.

Shay's B-day, Maple syrup, and Cryosurgery

This last week has been a little crazy for our family. Most of us have been sick (except Brian, Shay, and I) so it's been fun battling fevers and antibiotics, but also trying to do field trips, volunteering at school, doctors appointments, science projects, birthdays, basketball, ballet, iceskating etc. Whew!! I'm glad it's over. Although today is a catch up day on Tera and Shay's science projects, so I will let you know if we survive or not. Okay, a little recap on some of the things we did this last week. *I went on a really fun field trip with Ashtyn and her preschool. We went to Brookside Nature Center to see the Maple tree farm they have. I have to tell you, it was one of my favorite field trips I have ever been on. We got to see the sap from the Maple trees come out and into the buckets and we got to taste the real maple syrup. It was so yummy. It's going to be hard to go back to the fake stuff... We learned all about photosynthesis and it even stopped rainin...

Club Feet

Brynley was born with club feet. She had to have casts on both legs up to her thighs for eight weeks. She had new casts put on every week and a half to two weeks. During this time she had surgery on her tendons so they will grow longer. She finally graduated to braces that she had to wear night and day for six weeks. Now, she is out of her braces during the day and just wears them at night until she is four or five years. Phew! It's been a long process, but we are just grateful that this is the only problem she has had to deal with. So, here are some pictures of her casts and braces, thought you might enjoy! Baby Girl Number 4

Yes, this is our fourth girl! I know, the profile isn't great, but I guess that's just about what you can get when you're still in the womb (: . I had to ask again to make sure she was really a girl, and yes she definitely is. Wednesday was my second ultrasound. The doctor wanted to make sure that she wasn't too big, considering that each of my girls have been a pound bigger (Tera 7 pounds 2 ounces, Shay 8 pounds 3 ounces, and Ashtyn 9 pounds 2 ounces). I didn't know this but I guess Ashtyn got her shoulder stuck coming out. That can be quite dangerous and could cause brain damage. I was a little nervous to find out how much this one would weigh, because the bigger the baby, the more likely there would be another shoulder caught in the birth canal. Well, it turns out right now that she weighs (or so they say) about 7 pounds 13 ounces. Which isn't too small considering I have two more weeks to go, but isn't enough for a c-section.
